Flight Operations Information
NAS Oceana & NALF Fentress are 24 Hour airfields, operating seven days a week.
Community Concerns Hotline: (757) 433-2162. This is the only phone line that is recorded and forwarded to personnel who are knowledgeable about the data collection required for us to investigate concerns.
NOTE: Your concern will not change the flight pattern of current operations or change the hours we are operating. Flight Operations at Naval Air Station Oceana and Naval Auxiliary Landing Field Fentress are conducted around the clock seven days a week. The airspace that Oceana operates in covers a 4.3 mile radius and like civilian aircraft, military planes are not limited to where they can fly.
Air Installations Compatible Use Zones (AICUZ) Website
The Air Installations Compatible Use Zones (AICUZ) Website provides information on aircraft operations at the Navy's air installations in the Hampton Roads region and associated aircraft noise zones, accident potential zones, and land use development.
Interesting information here, study was done for the NC site.
http://www.efaircraft.ene.com/documents/reports/OLFAmbientReport-Standard.pdf
The link came from this page
http://www.olfeis.com/historic_documents.aspx
that contains a lot of information on how the Navy
acted during the NC site search and evaluation. And both of these pages are linked to the above WEB site "Navy OLF Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement Project Site".
This site has been rebuilt in order to isolate the original NC site activity and concentrate on the new Environmental Impact Statement for the five new sites.
The NAS Oceana Air Terminal Space Available (Space A) Flight Information is available at (757) 433-2903.
